Starting with a robot that utilizes just one EV3 core set, we’ll show you how to successfully complete the task.

We’ll provide a detailed breakdown of the robot’s construction and programming, and also explore alternative builds, mechanisms, and programs to tackle different parts of the challenge. The programs are developed using LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Classroom 1.5.3 Software, and we’ll also cover EV3G programming for additional robot ideas within the course.

This course is ideal for teams at all levels—from beginners to advanced—whether you’re preparing for competition or seeking to deepen your knowledge of the Spike Prime kit to solve real-world problems.

What You’ll Learn in This Course:

  1. Building a robot model
  2. Proportional-Differential (PD) line following
  3. Accurate ultrasonic sensor readings
  4. Correcting movement errors using sensors
  5. Smooth and precise arm movements
  6. Storing data in variables
  7. Retrieving data from variables
  8. Robot strategy and decision-making
  9. Robot design principles and tips to create your own custom robot
